Birkenhead is a small town in the county of Merseyside, situated on the Wirral Peninsula. Its Proximity to the water led to the town’s ship-building industry, which has become an important part of the area’s industrial history. The A41 Trunk Road is a major road running through the town while the M53 can also be easily accessed from here. Birkenhead is connected to Liverpool by a Rapid Transit system along the Wirral Line. Hamilton Square, Birkenhead Central, Green Lane, Rock Ferry, Conway Park, Birkenhead Park and Birkenhead North Railway Stations are the main links to the Underground network while Bidston Railway Station connects the area to the Borderlands Line. Air travel can be accessed via Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
