Cirencester, in the county of Gloucestershire, is the largest town in the Cotswolds and is home to the Royal Agricultural College, the oldest institution of its kind in the world. The town also houses the Corinium Museum, named after the original Roman name of the town, while other landmarks include the Church of St. John the Baptist, Cirencester House, Abbey House and the Roman Amphitheatre in Cotswold Avenue. Cirencester is one of the largest towns in the region without its own railway station but Kemble railway station is on the outskirts of town and provides strong links to the National Rail network.
