The picturesque town of Mechelen sits between Brussels and Antwerp. This medieval city is full of culture with numerous museums, bell-towers, monuments and parks all contributing to its charm. Mechelen is home to St. Janstraat, the most prestigious carillon school in the world, attracting students from all over the world who can take 6 years to complete the diploma course. The students of this bell-ringing school provide the perfect soundtrack for sipping coffee at a sidewalk café in one of the town’s charming squares.
