Aug, Week 2 - Paul Conway for Team 4

Running a sales operation requires a disruption-free environment; so having to abandon your office through flooding can be a potential disaster. With Team 4’s previous offices in Bournemouth suffering this exact fate, they needed a quick relocation; lost time was literally lost money!

Paul Conway, Sales Consultant from Search Office Space, takes up the story. “I got a call from one of the Directors at Team 4 late one evening. He had spent the afternoon searching unsuccessfully for serviced offices in Bournemouth that he could move his team into immediately - not an easy thing to do as Bournemouth only has a very limited number of business centres. Fortunately, through dealing with another client in the area who had a similar enquiry, I was aware there were two centres that would suit perfectly. One viewing was that same evening; the other on the morning of the following day. After the morning viewing Team 4 signed for the premises by lunchtime, and were able carry on working with limited disruption.’’

Team 4 needed five workspaces and the two business centres had offices which actually accommodated seven, but vigorous negotiation meant that Team 4 were able to gain the temporary use of a meeting room in the Clarendon Centre which suited their needs perfectly for the interim with the opportunity to move into a full serviced office if required.

The Clarendon Centre is close to Bournemouth Square as well as the beach, and has a full range of serviced facilities. These include manned reception, security, IT provision, ISDN and catering.

“This deal is significant,” explains Paul, “because it demonstrates the flexibility we are able to create and the speed at which we can turn things around if necessary. Furthermore, it is important because it shows how knowledge of the area and market really do count in situations like this. And, the fact that our client was so grateful was down to the reduction in potential lost business and being able to give some semblance of normality so speedily.”

For these reasons Team 4 and the Clarendon Centre deal become our Deal of the Week.
