British Land pre-lets 10 floors of office space to Aon in the Cheese Grater building
British Land PLC announced today that Aon Corporation will occupy the lower 10 floors of the soon to be completed Leadenhall Building (Cheese Grater) which provides offices in the City of London.
Once completed in 2014, this 47 storey building will be one of the tallest and most famous buildings in the City of London's financial district, having been demolished in 2007/8 in preparation for refurbishment.
Originally designed by Gollins Melvin Ward Partnership, the building is being developed by British Land Plc and Oxford Properties who are spending roughly £1.5 billion on implementing such facilities as a stunning sloping glass façade as well as a 30m high atrium which will be available to the public.
Chief Executive Officer of Aon Limited, Robert Brown, is excited about the project, having gone for the Leadenhall Building for the prestigious location as well as the fact that the company is committed to London as a 'strategically important and integral part of Aon’s future'.
