Facebook moves to new office space in the West End, not London’s Tech-City
It was recently announced that Facebook is expanding its office space in London from Carnaby Street to a larger space in the West End.
Facebook currently employs around 70 people in London and is looking to increase the number of advertising and sales employees.
Interestingly though, London’s answer to Silicon Valley, Tech-City in Shoreditch was not considered. A year ago, the UK government announced that they wanted Tech-City to become the home for many of the world’s major technology firms.
However, Facebook, Google, Twitter and Microsoft have all chosen not to base their UK headquarters in the area.
