Search Office Space Golf Event Raises Nearly £1,000 for Diabetes Charity
Office search business Search Office Space hosted their 2014 Property Agent Charity Golf Day, to raise money for local Diabetes charity, The Michael Green Foundation.
The event took place at Dyrham Park Golf Resort in Hertfordshire on October 9th with around 40 participants playing a round of 18 holes on the course set in beautiful rolling countryside. The event was sponsored by Boxx Projects a specialist office fit-out company who have worked with Search Office Space for a number of years.

The day was an opportunity for leading commercial property figures to network and talk to others from around the sector. The event kicked off with an introduction from event host Stephen Hickey, Head of Agent Relations at Search Office Space, who explained the order of play and introduced the charity who would benefit from the event.

Stephen Hickey, Head of Agent Relations, said, “The Golf Day is a great opportunity to give back to our agents across London and the UK who have shown us incredible support. These are working relationships we build day in, day out so it is fantastic to meet together for a pleasurable day.”

The teams had left the first tee by 10.45. With eight teams of up to 4 players it was important that different levels of ability were evened out to create a fair opportunity for all the players taking part.

The players started out in glorious sunshine but play almost came to a halt when the predicted storms rolled in around 12.30pm just as the first teams arrived for lunch off the 9th green.

The storms quickly passed and play resumed in the sunshine. Teams had 5 main award categories to aim for. The big prize was the first place trophy and £100 in gift vouchers, followed by the four ball award and “nearest the pin” and “longest drive” competitions. As a bit of fun the final award was a “yellow ball” competition to see which team could get a yellow ball around the 18 hole course without losing it.

The event supported local Hertfordshire based charity The Michael Green Foundation. Joanne Green, the charities founder commented, “We are delighted that SOS supported us this year with their agent golf event. Our own Trustee Gary Silver was one of the players so I am pleased one of our team members was able to take part in such a great day. We would all like to thank Search Office Space for their brilliant support during 2014.”
