Sheffield Office Market on the up- First Quarter 2011
According to the Knight Frank Regional Office Market Presentation (ROMP), Sheffield has made a solid start to 2011, with an improvement of 51% for total office take-up, compared to the last quarter of 2010.
Sheffield was also one of only 3 cities where first quarter take-up exceeded last years quarterly average.
Ventana House in the heart of Sheffield accounted for almost half of the take-up for the first quarter of 2011. However, take-up was quieter out of the city centre.
The report states that several notable deals are in the pipeline, which could lead to an even stronger take- up in the second quarter. Key buildings include Aspect Court and Carbrook House.
Tim Bottrill, Knight Frank partner, said, “This is a solid start for 2011. Despite ongoing pressure on the public sector, 2011 is shaping up to see stronger take-up than 2010.”
