Ventia Announce Positive 2014: Interview with Steve Baker
Serviced Offices provider Ventia announced another bumper year for 2014 with even more growth predicted for 2015.Year end figures from the company have revealed an increased turnover this year and the company has seen exceptional growth in the five years since its birth in 2009. As the company continues to grow in success and size we took a moment to speak to company director Steve Baker about what makes Ventia such a popular choice for prospective tenants.
Boutique Space
Ventia have taken a unique approach to their product, investing substantial time in the interior design of their bespoke offices. The company prefers to use listed and iconic buildings for its offices, providing a ‘boutique’ experience that is impressive for both prospective tenants and their clients. Many of their buildings are more than a hundred years old, with modern décor aesthetic that blends the old with the new in a way that creates a creative working atmosphere.
‘We attempt to provide a boutique experience for our tenants, we know that businesses are looking for interesting, aesthetically pleasing office space but don’t want four white walls and cubicle office space. We feel that using these iconic buildings provides a happy medium for those searching for exceptional office space in Central London.’
Predictions for 2015
Steve predicts more growth for Ventia in 2015, with 4-5 more centres opening in next years and an estimated 20-25% growth. Ventia’s success is bolstered by the growing number of small businesses and startups looking for prime central London space.
‘The traditional long term office lease isn’t attractive to modern businesses. As more and more businesses seek flexible office solutions, traditional commercial tenancies are becoming less frequent. Many of our tenants are seeking bespoke boutique locations that are available on flexible lease, that still have the capacity to impress clients and prospects. This next year should show more businesses choosing flexible office solutions over traditional office leases, especially in high demand areas like the West End.’
Ethos
Ventia pride themselves on seeking out exceptional properties for their business centres:
‘We believe part of the secret to our success is in working extra hard to seek out great buildings that offer something unique. Our great relationships with our clients allow us to provide an exceptional, bespoke service that we believe is unique to us.’
Ventia have been voted number 32 in the 18th annual Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 table, placing it as one of the fastest growing private companies in the UK. Past businesses in this list included Innocent, Naked Wines and Jack Wills so they are certainly in good company.
