Frankfurt is said to be the business and financial hub of Germany and the largest city in the German state of Hesse. Frankfurt is a modern city, located on the river Main, with many historical areas to explore. This is the financial capital of Continental Europe and the transportation centre of Germany. Frankfurt is home of the European Central Bank and the German Stock Exchange. The city hosts internationally attended trade shows, such as the Frankfurt Auto Show and the Frankfurt Book Fair.

There are many food companies in Frankfurt. This includes the German headquarters of Nestlé, the world’s largest food company. Other companies are the German headquarters of Ferrero SpA, and Radeberger Gruppe KG, which happens to be the largest private brewery group in Germany. In other industries, the South-Korean automobile manufacturer Kia Motors and the Italian manufacturer Fiat, have their European headquarters in Frankfurt. The automotive supplier Continental AG has their headquarters and a mayor manufacturing plant for its Chassis & Safety division located in Frankfurt Rödelheim. Frankfurt has many options for commercial, industrial, and office space in the community.

Entertainment And Dining Out

The old city centre of Frankfurt Römerberg is worth visiting you if you get a chance. This area has a number of historic buildings dating to the 14th and 15th century. The Römer is the town hall of Frankfurt and one of the city’s most historic landmarks. Next to the cathedral, at the Archäologische Garten, you can see the remains of the Roman settlements that gave this place its name. At the Römer, you can also visit the Alte Nikolaikirche - a 12th century church, several restaurants, cafés and smaller shops. Dom (Saint Bartholomeus’ Cathedral), is the main cathedral in Frankfurt. It was built in Gothic style in the 14th century. Dining options include Pizza Monte Carlo a small restaurant owned by an elderly couple, renowned not only for its quaint nature but also great pizza. They also have pasta and some salads. Bizim Döner, at the train station Frankfurt-Griesheim, is a small suburban shop featuring fantastic kebabs.

Transport Information

Frankfurt Airport (IATA: FRA) is among the busiest in Europe. All major airlines and all airline alliances fly frequently to Frankfurt and connect to every continent and major city in the world. The main airline in Frankfurt is the German company Lufthansa.
