The city of Gent is located in the Flemish region of Belgium; it can also be referred to as Ghent. It is the capital and largest city of the East Flanders province. North of the city proper lies the port of Gent, the third largest port in Belgium. It is accessed by the Gent-Terneuzen Canal, which ends near the Dutch port of Terneuzen on the Western Scheldt. The port houses big companies like Arcelor-Mittal, Volvo Cars, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Parts, Honda, and Stora Enso.
