Located on Raffles Place, Chevron House, a 33-storey commercial Grade A office building which includes 3 basement levels comprising shops, restaurants and cafes. Completed in 1993, it was designed by Murphy/Jahn Inc Architects and Architects 61 and is modeled in the late-modernist architectural style, being mainly built out of aluminium, glass and steel with a distinctive glass rotunda and four-storey high portico located at the entrance of the building. The rotunda motif is expressed on the roof, capped by radial sunshading louvres and is a strong feature that distinguishes the building from other skyscrapers in Raffles Place area.
Chevron House is located right in the middle of Singapore's Central Business District, above the core Raffles Place MRT Station transport hub (2 minutes walk). A cosy marble-clad lobby greets all visitors and the building boasts 24x7 manned security staff, continuous CCTV surveillance, 8 high-speed passenger lifts (zoned into a high & low zone), rectangular column-free floors, centralised air-conditioning and high-speed data & voice connections. There is also a large gym Planet Fitness located on Level 5 in the building.
