Located within the City of Westminster, Aldwych is one of the most prominent and well-known areas of Central London, despite only being made up of a one-way street and the area immediately surrounding it!

Aldwych is one of the most historically significant areas of the city, as the Anglo-Saxon village of Lundenwic began here in the seventh century and was one of the first examples of London being used for trading. It remains a place of importance, with many of the city’s notable buildings based here, including the Novello Theatre and Bush House, formerly the headquarters of the BBC World Service. Interestingly, the Aldwych underground station has been closed since 1994 but is often used as a film set for blockbuster movies and TV series’.

So, if you’re looking to base your business in a location with tons of character, history and culture, Aldwych’s many serviced offices are the perfect location.

Setting up your Business Here

Aldwych’s history of trading means business is at the heart of the area’s culture. Being home to the Northbank Business Improvement District, which was set up to rival the South Bank for tourism and business, The King’s Business School and the variety of office spaces available to rent, only reflects this. Network, collaborate and establish your business in an area that is at the forefront of the thriving London commercial scene.

Although its own underground station is no longer in operation, as a Central London location, Aldwych remains well connected. There are a number of transport options available with the most convenient being the Covent Garden, Temple and Holborn stations. This makes the area accessible for both employees and clients, reinforcing its suitability as an ideal base for your business.

Office Spaces to Rent in Aldwych

With serviced offices ranging from private to open spaces, Aldwych has something to suit every business need. Whether you’re a start-up looking for an office amid established peers in a renowned Central London business centre, or a growing business looking for a spacious area to expand, you’ll find your perfect new base in Aldwych.

The facilities available in Aldwych’s serviced offices enable and encourage business success. Take advantage of the impressive interiors which are guaranteed to ‘wow’ even the most difficult of clients, and refurbished suites fitted with the latest technology, enabling innovation, efficiency and productivity.

Culture and Entertainment

The Novello Theatre is one of the older theatres in London and is situated right next to the Waldorf Hotel. There are plenty of shows to choose from and a night out in a big London theatre could easily make your business stand out in the eyes of clients. The Courtauld Gallery is great for an enlightening post-work trip, and has a range of new and classic exhibitions, making for an interesting visit every time.

Aldwych is only a short walk away from the Victoria Embankment, allowing for a break away from the busy office with a lunchtime stroll along the river. Alternatively, take a walk down the Strand and enjoy a bit of retail therapy with the many high-street offerings along the route.

Eating Out

Homage is the historic Waldorf Hilton Hotel s grand dining room. Its latest makeover has given it a unique contemporary yet traditional design, while the original features throughout the bar offer a sense of style and grandeur. Food is modern European and combines fresh, interesting tastes with wonderful simplicity, offering an impressive place to host valued clients.

For a more relaxed occasion or a quick lunch with colleagues, there are plenty of chain restaurants available. With something to suit every taste bud and craving, you’ll never be left disappointed.
