Located in the Covent Garden district of central London, Great Queen Street enjoys a convenient position close to the trendy and exciting West End. It was once known simply as Queen Street taking on the name Great Queen Street from around 1670. With its strong links to the Freemasons, Great Queen Street has a long and varied history. A number of historical and cultural places of interest can be found within easy reach of this street, including the London Film Museum, the London Transport Museum, the Cartoon Museum and Sir John Soane’s Museum, among others.

Business Information

You will find many Masonic buildings, offices and shops on Great Queen Street, as the street has very strong links to the Freemasons. Freemasons’ Hall, which is the HQ of the United Great Lodge of England, can be found here. Holborn tube station is only short walk from Great Queen Street, as is Convent Garden underground. You can also reach the mainline services at Charing Cross railway station, while City Thameslink is just a little further away.
