Once a red light district, this inner city area has been regenerated over the last two decades through major developments such as the opening of Eurostar and St. Pancras International.

Business professionals and travellers alike flock to King s Cross thanks to its many transport links and its dynamic culture. The Guardian and the Observer have their offices here, along with big names like Google, Universal Music and Louis Vuitton. Although new developments have seen the area throw off it s less-than-glamorous past, it s not all shiny glass and suits. The cobbled streets around Coal Drops Yard and the area s many Victorian buildings lend some historic charm to a post-meeting stroll.

Setting up your Business Here

King s Cross is set apart by its exceptional transport links, with St. Pancras International being a particular hub for those traveling to and from the continent. As a result, there is ample office space to rent in King s Cross. If you re operating an international (or even national) business, making a move into one of the many serviced offices available in the area could be one of the best decisions you ll ever make.

Culture and Entertainment

The world-famous British Library holds regular exhibitions inside its Grade I listed building. As such, it is undoubtedly worth a visit - if only to spend time in the cafe surrounded by rare books. If it s one particular author you re interested in, take a look at the Charles Dickens Museum on Doughty Street. The elegant Georgian townhouse includes first editions of his masterpieces, as well as letters, pictures and other memorabilia.

Those with a penchant for architecture may well enjoy a trip to St. Pancras New Church, the second most expensive church in London after St. Paul s Cathedral. Turn out of Euston s main exit and look for the Greek revival-style structure. Or maybe it s medicine that interests you? The Wellcome Collection is a free and highly regarded medical museum on Euston Road, covering all aspects of both ancient and modern medicine.

Eating out

With so many new office developments joining its skyline, King s Cross has gained plenty of swanky restaurants for business lunches. With an appealing restaurant or bar around every corner, there s plenty of variety to suit different tastes. However, you d be wise to plan and book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The German Gymnasium Grand Cafe is located behind King s Cross station and is an upmarket choice. Think white table cloths, marble floors and a menu of German-inspired cuisine. Caravan has a more laid-back vibe, where a mixture of students and young professionals sample an eclectic menu that caters to all.

Or how about some afternoon tea? Found just a short walk from many King s Cross office spaces, Fortnum and Mason Tea Salon is sure to impress clients with its scones served on the finest china.
