Steeped in history, Lower Thames Street is situated in the City of London, forming part of Thames Street which is divided into lower and upper sections. This street was once home to many courtiers in the reign of Henry VIII and the king is said to have met his mistresses in the residence of William Compton who lived on the street. Today, the area has been transformed into a bustling commercial area with plenty of office space and executive suites, including those of the Daily Express. Its central location means that Lower Thames Street is close to many local attractions, with some of the nearby sites including the Tower of London, HMS Belfast, and The Monument.
