Vauxhall is an up and coming area of central London, in the London Borough of Lambeth. Vauxhall sits on the south bank of the river Thames, and is a short walk or bus ride along Vauxhall Bridge Road to the busy commuter hub of Victoria. The land in the area was originally flat and marshy, but was first developed in the eighteenth century when Lambeth Marsh was drained.
