Situated in the Borough of Bromley, Beckenham is only around 8 or so miles from Charing Cross. This is a well connected town that has evolved from a small and largely rural village. The introduction of the railway in the area in the 1850s saw a surge in expansion and this helped to turn Beckenham into the vibrant and bustling town that it is today. While the town is modern, you will still find some of the grand houses from a bygone era reflecting the history of the area. Some of the landmarks and places of history within the area include the listed Chinese Garage, St George’s Church, and the lych gate.

The town’s prime position within easy reach of central London makes it an ideal businesses area and its commercial areas are filled with a diverse variety of businesses that occupy office space. Transport Information

Beckenham boasts good railway connectivity to the south of Kent as well as to central London. Amongst the stations serving the area are New Beckenham, Elmers End and Eden Park on the Hayes line, Beckenham Junction, and Kent House on the Orpington line. Beckenham Hill and Ravensbourne are on the Catford Loop line. The area is well served by buses and taxis, and with good road connectivity is also convenient for drivers. There are also tram links providing easy access to East and West Croydon as well as to Wimbledon.
