About Bath

Bath is a historic city in the south-west of the UK, in the picturesque county of Somerset. Renowned for its Georgian architecture and links to Jane Austin, Bath was first settled around AD 60 by the Romans as a spa town. This was due to the natural springs which rise in the city and are said to have healing properties. Bath Thermae Spa is still a popular attraction for locals and visitors alike to unwind and relax. In 1987, the City of Bath was designated as a World Heritage Site. Its proximity to London and a whole host of hotels and bed and breakfast locations make it a popular destination for tourists.
