Area Information

The town of Buckingham is located in north Buckinghamshire in South East England. The town was once the county town of Buckinghamshire until Aylesbury was declared the capital in the 1500s by Henry VIII. Home to a range of shops, pubs, eateries, and venues, this is a market town where markets are held on Tuesdays and Saturdays, creating a bustling atmosphere. There are a number of historical structures that can be found in and around the town, including St Rumbold’s Well. One of the only two private universities in the UK, the University of Buckingham, is located in the town and is home to a large multicultural student population.

Buckingham is home to a variety of industrial estates and enterprise parks, where a variety of businesses have office space. Transport Information

There are good road, bus and rail links in Buckingham, enabling easy commuting around the town, the county, and further afield. The town is served by the A413, the A421 and the A422, providing convenient road links for drivers and ground transportation. There are a number of bus routes that connect Buckingham to areas including Milton Keynes, Oxford, and Cambridge. Taxis are readily available and provide another reliable means of transport. The closest railway stations are Wolverton and Milton Keynes Central to the east of the town, with Bicester North and Bicester Town accessible to the south west.
