Stafford is the county capital of Staffordshire. Having been founded around 700 AD the town has a rich history spanning many centuries. There is much to explore in this town, and there are many landmarks that reflect this heritage. Some of the places of interest that you can find in or very close to Stafford include the Elizabethan Ancient High House, Stafford Castle, the Shire Hall Gallery, Shugborough Hall, and Sandon Hall. If you are into fine arts, you will find a great art gallery at The Shire Hall. A number of famous people are linked to Stafford in one way or another, including Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien and comedy actor Neil Morrisey.
One of the industries that Stafford has historically been known for is shoe manufacturing. Of course, there are many other industries and businesses that now operate from office space in the town. Perkins Engines is located in Stafford along with adhesive giant Bostik. Staffordshire Police has headquarters here as do Stafford Borough Council and Staffordshire County Council. A variety of big name retailers are located here too, including River Island, HMV and JJB.
When it comes to entertainment, one of the key venues in Stafford is the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre, which hosts a variety of entertainment and cultural events, including live music and stand up comedy. Staffordshire County Showground also hosts many national and local events each year. You will be thrilled with the choice of dining options available in the town. Panache is the ideal place to enjoy some spicy Indian food while the Soup Kitchen serves up delicious British dishes. If you want to sample fine French food, Bistro Le Coq is the place to go.
Stafford Railway Station provides links to the rail network, offering access to a number of lines such as the West Coast Main Line and the CrossCountry route. These provide convenient access to places such as Birmingham, London, Liverpool and Wolverhampton. There are a number of major roads and motorways that pass close to the town, including the M6, the A34, the A518, and the A513. The town also benefits from reliable bus and taxi coverage, which means that getting around via alternative means of public transportation is not a problem if you do not plan to drive.
Prices typically are all-inclusive of utilities costs, broadband, meeting room access, and are exempt from business rates (package varies per office).
