Once an ancient burgh in Scotland, Stirling is a vibrant city that is steeped in history and culture. Situated by the River Forth, it is built around a medieval town and fortress. The city was once classed as the gateway to the Highlands due to its position, which is between the Scottish Lowlands and the Highlands.
