The town of Haslemere is situated in the borough of Waverley in Surrey. Once famous for its cattle markets that were considered to be among the largest and busiest in the region, Haslemere has transformed into an important town within the London commuter belt. While many residents travel to London for work, the local economy in the area is also thriving, largely due to the presence of service businesses and independent retail stores. Haslemere Educational Museum is one of the famous landmarks in town. People from all over the country come to the museum to see the fascinating treasures that are housed here. The venue also has a fully operational beehive.

Business Information

High Street and West Street are the main commercial centres in the area, home to the majority of the serviced offices in town. Main Street and Charter Walk are the two predominant areas where most of the retail stores are located. Fashion house Woodie & Morris, Blush Boutique, Haus Homeware and Clayton Fine Jewellery are some of the famous retail spaces in the vicinity. Tesco and Waitrose also have a significant presence in the region.

Transport Information

Haslemere Station is the main railhead in the area, with access to services on the South West Main Line. Trains on the Portsmouth Line link the region to other destinations such as Southsea, Portsmouth and London Waterloo. Destinations within Surrey such as Guildford, Aldershot and Linchmere can easily be reached by daily bus services. The A3 London-Portsmouth Road can also be easily accessed from here.
