The town of Horley is located in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in the county of Surrey. Beginning life as a sleepy residential town, the area underwent a major transformation from the late 19th century to early 20th century with the twin developments of the railway line and Gatwick Airport in the region. The expansion of the airport has always been a major topic of debate in the area.
