Located on the banks of the River Bliss, Trowbridge is town in the county of Wiltshire, just southeast of Bath. A major centre for cloth production, Trowbridge was always known as a busy part of industrial England and was even referred to as the “Manchester of the West”. The town is based around the original location of the Motte-and-Bailer Castle with Fore Street still following the path that was once the ditch around the castle. Although a number of modern establishments have become a part of the town, places like Holy Trinity Church and River Bliss are still a part of the major landmarks that define Trowbridge and its past.
The town has a number of companies operating out of town including event management firms, car-part manufacturers and environmental services. There are interior decorators in the area as well as marketing consultants, while recruitment agencies also occupy office space here along with website development firms. AlertSystems and JPC Infonet have offices in Trowbridge, as does Fusion UK.
