About Central Park

Central Park is a world-famous park situated in the heart of Manhattan in New York City. The park was initially opened in 1857, and sits on 843 acres of land. It is currently managed by the Central Park Conservancy and has a $37.5 million annual budget. Within the park there are various eateries and amenities, including a seasonal ice rink and many coffee shops, and other conveniences line the surrounding streets. 5th Avenue runs along one side of Central Park, passing Central Park Zoo, which is a favorite among tourists.
