Birmingham Central - Business & Retail Hub of Birmingham

Birmingham is perhaps well know for its University of Birmingham and the world’s worst urban design blunder - the Inner City Ring Road. Recently, however, the Big City Pla’ has come into place to remove the Inner City Road and expand Birmingham Central to five times its normal size. The expansion has caused a boom in retail stores, leisure centres and office space rental in Birmingham Central.

The famous Bullring Shopping Centre is home to one of Selfridge’s four UK department stores, shortly the first Forever 21 store, the fourth largest Debenhams store in the UK and innovative architecture design. The store attracts visits from around the world and was, recently, the UK’s busiest shopping centre with 35.6million. Corporation Street and the Pallasades Shopping Centre are also incredibly popular locations for successful retail stores.

Digbeth, not too far from the hustle and bustle of Bullring, is a famous street for independent retailers and small retail businesses. Despite not joining the large crowds at Corporation Street and Bullring, Digbeth hosts some of the UK’s top independent retail businesses and a wealth of design and personality.

The recent Big City Plan hasn’t left business out, either. Birmingham Central has been a well known business district for some time, providing Birmingham Central office space rentals and rent serviced offices to local and international businesses. Most of Birmingham Central’s office space is designed to high standards (not just your dinky old block of bricks) and close to all local amenities and other important businesses. It’s one of the prime locations for thriving business and businesses looking to relocate.

The Custard Factory is perhaps one of the prime locations for media and arts businesses throughout the country. This famous district, just around the corner from Digbeth, hosts office space and rent offices just outside the local independent stores and the large retail superstars. Birmingham Central office space is often bought right on the Custard Factory street for its design, its proximity to other businesses and, of course, its reputation. Notable office rent residents in the Custard Factory are Fused Magazine, North One Television and Rhubarb Radio.

There’s really a lot to choose from in Birmingham Central - dazzling works of art like the Selfridge department store, the reputation of the Custard Factory office space and the fresh entrepreneurs just graduating from Birmingham’s Business School. What more could you need?
