Two prestigious awards, one outstanding night for Office Freedom.
Office Freedom is celebrating a double victory at the 2026 Flex and the City Awards, winning both Flex Agency of the Year and Flex Deal of the Year.
Held at London's Ministry of Sound on 15 October, the awards brought together leading flexible workspace operators, brokers, landlords and industry professionals.
For Office Freedom, founded in 1993, the double win is a proud moment. More than three decades after helping pioneer the flexible office market, the company continues to deliver outstanding results for businesses looking for their next workspace.
Flex Agency of the Year 2026
Office Freedom was named Flex Agency of the Year 2026, recognising its longstanding contribution to the flexible workspace industry, extensive market knowledge and commitment to delivering results for clients.
Co-founded in 1993 by Laurence Beck MRICS and Richard Smith, Office Freedom was the first commercial property agency in the world to advise on all kinds of office transactions, including flexible office space, traditional leasing and freeholds.
At a time when conventional office leases dominated the market, Office Freedom recognised the growing demand for flexible, adaptable workspace solutions.

Flex Deal of the Year 2026: London Fire Brigade at Tintagel House
Office Freedom's second award of the evening was Flex Deal of the Year 2026, recognising a landmark 22,000 sq ft transaction at FORA's Tintagel House in Vauxhall, London.
The deal secured an interim headquarters for the London Fire Brigade, demonstrating how flexible workspace can meet the complex requirements of a major public sector organisation.
The transaction was particularly significant because the London Fire Brigade had previously occupied premises through traditional leases.
Moving to a flexible workspace arrangement required a tailored approach, bringing together the expertise of Office Freedom and FORA to deliver a solution suited to the organisation’s needs.
The award recognised the work of Johnny Bray MRICS of Office Freedom and James Bocking of FORA on the transaction.
The deal highlights how flexible workspace has evolved beyond its traditional association with start-ups and smaller businesses. Major organisations and public sector occupiers are increasingly considering flexible solutions for substantial office requirements.
