Facebook takes London office space
Social network giant Facebook has today announced their intention to bring their engineering offices to London from the US. This will be their first foreign engineering office.
Facebook were buzzing about the benefits of the move. “It’s a global hub with a vibrant local start-up community and great technical talent.” It is assumed that about 22 new posts will be created.
The decision to start a foreign engineering office is part of Facebook’s overall global strategy.
A spokesperson for major office consultancy Search Office Space commented; " as signal player in the digital age the Facebook decision will be seen as a sign of confidence in London’s development – and a welcome response to the PMs call for foreign investors to back Britain."
