Italian group to invest heavily in London’s West End property market - 20.07.2012

ROME-BASED investor Sorgente Group have announced plans to invest over £400m on prime property in London’s West End over the next two years in a move that looks set to drive up property prices and increase the desirability of investment in the district.

The group aim to add up to six further trophy assets to their burgeoning portfolio as a means to diversify pension fund investment back in Italy. The firm has already taken on the redevelopment of Queensbury House in W1, purchasing the 241,000 sq ft from Aviva Investors last month for a net yield of 4.8%.
