London’s 24 Monument Street has undertaken an office space makeover
Redevelopment of 24 Monument Street, EC3 has recently been commenced by Rockspring Property Investment Managers and development partner Charterfield Asset Management whose idea is to turn this site into 75,000 square feet of grade A London office space to rent.
The building with be completely transformed into this EC3 office space to rent, and include such plans as two new ground floor retail units of a combined space of 7,400 square feet. This is a change from the building’s old structure which offered 61,000 square feet of office space, originally established in the mid 1980’s.
European Director of Rockspring says, “This site provides the opportunity to deliver quality Grade A office space into an undersupplied market and we expect to see high demand from a variety of City occupiers who are increasingly seeking the best possible accommodation. The stunning new building, which incorporates terraces and an impressive double height entrance, will not only have excellent green credentials, but will also cater for a variety of requirements given the range of floor plate sizes on offer.”
Once completed, the building will have increased its rentable office space capacity by a third, and will have seen a complete modernisation. The plans include the addition of column free space, floor to ceiling windows and an impressive reception and entrance hall, as well as incredible views of the Monument and the River Thames.
Due to be completed in summer 2013, the building will boast excellent ‘green’ credentials.
