Major Expansion at Booths Park Announced

A huge expansion is planned for the Booths Park site in Knutsford, Cheshire. Commercial property provider Bruntwood is proposing the expansion, which will see as many as 1,300 positions made available.

Currently home to a host of high-profile multinationals, including AMEC, Mastercard, and Alstom Power, the proposed expansion would open up 17,500 square feet of space for new occupiers.

The area, currently brownfield car park land, would see three new purpose-built office spaces erected. An underground parking space would be created to accommodate.

The Booths Park estate, set in the heart of Cheshire's stunning countryside, is something of a unique business park. The 220-acre corporate hub has a working community of over 3,000, working across a range of redeveloped and refurbished buildings.

Christ Roberts, development director at Bruntwood, said: "Expanding the site will enable us to meet the growing demand for high-quality office space in this area, as well as ensuring that major employers and key knowledge-based industries remain in Knutsford."

Before submitting the proposal, Bruntwood is hosting an exhibition and forum, to inform and explain each step of the construction process to the public. The forum is to be held at St John's Church Centre, Church Hill, in Knutsford, on July 11.

"The public exhibition is an opportunity for businesses as well as local residents to ask questions, view the plans, and give their thoughts on the proposal. We hope that members of the community will be able to visit us on July 11 and look forward to meeting them."

Subject to the feedback received during the consultation, Bruntwood is aiming to submit its planning application later this summer.
