David Hudson, Chief Executive of Guildhouse UK told The Times, “Croydon, rather unfairly, has a bad reputation and that is because of its building stock and we all now recognise that putting a major dual carriageway through a town was a disaster. Do not cross the road here.’ But everything else about Croydon is ideal and it is absolutely vital that we get substantial numbers of people back living in the town as that will drive the regeneration.”

Mr Hudson also insisted that the pre-letting of office space was essential to the projects success, as it would help attract tenants and tourists to the flats and hotel. However, Mr Hudson remains confident that pre-letting won’t be a problem, as large corporate businesses in the area are looking for .
