Top 5 Valentines Day Activities for Your Office Space
Love it or hate it, Valentines Day is tomorrow, yes you heard, TOMORROW.
Many of us will be enjoying a romantic evening with our significant others, or crying into a wine glass talking about how we're quite happy riding solo – but, as it's a ‘work night’, your office may want to join in on some of the ‘festivities’ before you head off into the sunset…
Note to Managers: These top tips may cheer-up a proportion of your employees who consider this to be the most depressing day of the year…

1. Chocolate Distribution
Managers are encouraged to distribute chocolates to their loyal, hardworking employees. Not only will this put a smile on their faces, but it could even have an productive effect, as the sugar will give your team an energy boost!
2. Workstation Decoration
This will work best if one member of your team, most likely your PA, waits until everyone has left the office and decorates their workstations with lovey-dovey attire, ready for a surprise when they walk in tomorrow morning. Use heart shaped post-it notes, red streamers and scatter love-heart around everyone's computer.
3. Fancy Dress
Many office environments have a ‘dress down Friday’ policy, so why not bend the rules on this occasion and have a Valentines Day theme – it doesn’t have to be over the top – you could just wear something red, or pin a rose to your suit. Dressing up can create a great working atmosphere and help ‘spread the love’ in your office space. You could also have an award or prize for the ‘best dressed’ to encourage everyone to get involved.
4. Free Food and Drink
To help create a theme for the day, why not treat your employees to some snacks and drinks that are themed around romance, or just the colour red! For example, red velvet cupcakes, strawberries dipped in chocolate, heart shaped pizzas, cherry-aid, cherry tomatoes, cherries… the list is endless!
5. Valentines Cards or E-Cards
Valentines Day could be a great opportunity to make your staff feel appreciated. Sending handwritten cards or e-cards with a personal yet professional message regarding their hard work over the year would go down an absolute treat!
