Key Highlights
The Tea Building is an iconic former warehouse and industrial landmark in Shoreditch, originally built in the early 1930s for the Lipton food and tea business. Over time it has been extensively refurbished and transformed into a creative office hub while preserving its original industrial character. Today, it houses a diverse community of technology firms, design studios, media companies, and creative businesses.
The Space
The building provides flexible open-plan office spaces designed with an industrial aesthetic, including exposed concrete surfaces, whitewashed brick walls, and large steel-framed windows that allow plenty of natural light. Tenants benefit from modern facilities such as meeting rooms, breakout areas, reception services, cycle storage, showers, lifts, and a café within the building. An internal cobbled “street” leading to the main reception is one of its most distinctive architectural features.
Location
The Tea Building is prominently located on Shoreditch High Street in the heart of the Shoreditch creative and technology district. It sits directly opposite Shoreditch High Street railway station and is within walking distance of Liverpool Street station and Old Street station. The surrounding area offers a vibrant mix of restaurants, cafés, galleries, and cultural venues.
