A tiny village located in the county of Cheshire, Daresbury falls under the purview of Halton. The village is widely known as being the birthplace of the world famous author, Lewis Carroll, which is an important part of its identity and culture. The Lewis Carroll Visitor Centre is also the biggest attraction in the village while the Creamfields dance festival has been a popular annual event in the area since 2006. With its small town charm and distinct character, Daresbury is a vibrant and unique destination boasting history and culture.

Transport Information

Travelling in and around Daresbury is limited to roadways with the A56 Trunk Road passing through it. The B5356, also known as Daresbury Lane, allows bus, coach, and other transport services to join up with the A56. Runcorn East Railway Station is the closest train station linking Daresbury to places like Manchester and Chester. Manchester Airport is the closest air-transport link for commuters from the village.
