Sometimes referred to simply as Mann, the Isle of Man is a British Crown Dependency, which is self-governed and is positioned between Great Britain and Ireland in the Irish Sea. For more remote parts of the island a car is usually the most convenient choice but otherwise you can rely on everything from taxis and buses through to water transport, electric railways, steam trains, horse drawn trams and air travel. There is only one airport on the Isle of Man to be located in Ronaldsway.
