Northwich is a town in the county of Cheshire, in North East England. It was once a major hub for salt mining but poor mining techniques led to land-collapses in the area, which put a stop to the process and led to stabilisation and residential development in the region. In 2007, four major mines were stabilised and modernisation of old buildings started in earnest. The town today is known for major landmarks including Weaver Hall Museum while Marbury Country Park is a popular green area in the town.
