Situated in Birmingham city centre in the West Midlands, Aston Science Park is a business community geared specifically towards the technological companies. It is positioned close to Aston University. The site is made up of 22 acres, with the Digbeth Branch Canal running through it. Owned by Birmingham City Council, the board of the science park includes Aston University and banking giant Lloyds TSB, with both providing on-going support to residents. The Business and Innovation Centre was the first building to be opened here in the early 1980s, and was unveiled by Prince Philip.

Transport links

Mainline train services can be easily accessed from Birmingham city centre via New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill railways stations. There are also many buses that serve the area and taxis are readily available. A good road network means that drivers are also catered for, with a variety of secure car parking facilities within easy reach. Aston Science Park is located at the entrance to the Aston Expressway, which provides quick access to the M6. It is also accessible via the A38, A47, A4540 and A5127.
