A town located within the city of Leeds, Horsforth lies in the county of Yorkshire and is a major residential area with a wide variety of facilities to serve the local population. Towards the end of the 19th century, Horsforth was said to have been one of the biggest villages in the country and major growth and development pushed it into gaining town status and eventually becoming a part of Leeds. The A6120 runs along the southern side of Horsforth, providing easy access to the A660 and A65, and there are taxis, buses and coaches available to the public.
