The state of Montana is located in the northwestern region of the United State of America. As one of the Rocky Mountain States, Montana is bordered by North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Montana is home to a large number of cattle ranches and beef plays an important part in the states diet. Local specialties include buffalo burgers, buttermilk biscuits, white honey, and Smettanick pie (cherry jam, almonds and sour cream). There is also a wide range of international cuisine available throughout the state.

Transport Information

The most common way to get around Montana is to drive, with Interstate Highways 15 and 90 running through the middle of the state. There are several major airports, including Billings, Missoula, Helena, Great Falls, Bozeman, and Kalispell. There are Amtrak train routes throughout the state, as well as intercity bus services.
