Colorado is one of fifty states in the United States of America. It is located in the Western U.S., and encompasses most of the Southern Rocky Mountains, a portion of the Colorado Plateau, and some of the Great Plains. Colorado is bordered Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah, and Arizona. The Four Corners area of the United States is where the four states of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah meet at one common point. This area is also known as heart of the American Southwest. In Colorado you will find a diverse geography made up of mountains, forests, high plains, mesas, canyons, plateaus, rivers, and desert lands. Denver is the capital and the most populous city of Colorado.
The state’s economy is based on scientific research, high-technology industries, food processing, transportation equipment, machinery, chemical products, gold and silver mining, and molybdenum mining. Colorado produces more beef than any other state in the nation, and is an important financial and federal governmanet hub. Federal concerns in the state include The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the United States Air Force Academy, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology, United States Geological Survey, Denver Federal Center, the Denver Mint, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and ADX Florence SuperMax Federal Prison. There are many private companies in the state to support federal contracts, including Lockheed-Martin and Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. There are many options for office space throughout the state of Colorado.
Residents and visitors to Colorado typically enjoy the state because of the many and varied options for outdoor recreations. The state is home to four national parks, seven national monuments, two national recreation areas, two national historic sites, three national historic trails, one national scenic trail, 11 national forests, two national grasslands, 41 national wilderness areas, two national conservation areas, eight national wildlife refuges, 44 state parks, 307 state wildlife areas, and much more. A few of these include Arapaho National Recreation Area, Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, Chimney Rock National Monument, and Dinosaur National Monument. Colorado cuisine is often all about the meat. Beef is popular, so is fresh game, including Quail, rabbit, elk, venison, moose, and even rattlesnake. There are three specialty meats that are deeply associated with the state; these are Buffalo, Colorado Rack of Lamb, and Fresh Water Trout. The Denver Omelet is believed to have been devised in Colorado. Rocky Mountain Oysters are often found on the menu. These are bull or sheep testicles, flour battered and pan fried.
The largest and main airport in the state is the Denver International Airport (DIA). Located 27 miles from the capital, this airport is the 16th busiest airport in the world. There are regional airports located throughout the state. Amtrak operates two rail passenger train lines through Colorado, the Regional Transportation District operates a light rail transit system in the Denver Metropolitan Area, and public transportation services consist of intra-city and inter-city bus services.
Prices typically are all-inclusive of utilities costs, broadband, meeting room access, and are exempt from business rates (package varies per office).
