The Foggy Bottom Metro stop is close to the northwest section of Virginia Avenue, while the Smithsonian Metro station or the L’Enfant Plaza Metro stop are on the southwest stretch. The Metrobus is one of the easiest ways to travel around the city. This system connects Virginia Avenue – stopping at Foggy Bottom, L’Enfant Plaza and Federal Center SW stations among others – with the rest of the Washington DC. You can also get the DC Circulator from L’Enfant Plaza station, which is a shuttle bus service that links Virginia Avenue with the city’s main attractions.
