Ghana is one of the world’s top gold producers. Other exports include cocoa, crude oil, natural gas, timber, electricity, diamonds, bauxite, and manganese. Entertainment And Dining Out

Ghana features many great places to visit such as several UNESCO World Heritage Sites that include the Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle. There are many national parks such as Kakum National Park and Mole National Park. The country is known for some of its annual cultural celebrations such as Panafest. Kakum National Park is a great rainforest offering an extended canopy walk above the treetops. From here you can enjoy a variety of birds and some other wildlife, including monkeys, elephants, and antelope. The park offers a museum and a cafe at the entrance. Mole National Park is at the other end of the spectrum. Instead of a rainforest, this is a savannah, a flat grassland featuring buffalo, monkeys, antelope, and even lions and elephants. There are walking and driving safaris through the park, as well as options for camping. Another interesting trip is to Eco Village Sognaayilli. This sight offers a traditional village where you can meet and interact with the local people. Ghana’s traditional dishes include fufu, made from pounded balls of yam, plantain, or cassava. It is served with soup and a side of goat meat or fish. Soups in Ghana are traditionally made of groundnuts, palm nut, okra, and other vegetables.
