The capital of the Isle of Man, Douglas is also the largest town in the area and is home to an attractive harbour and a two mile bay. The town is an administrative centre where you will find the Isle of Man government as well as the High Courts. Douglas is the centre of finance, business, transport, culture, and entertainment on the island and also boasts a rich history. There are various landmarks and places of interest that can be enjoyed in Douglas, which includes the Tower of Refuge, the Jubilee Clock, and the Manx Museum. The area has also been linked to a variety of well-known people, and was the hometown of the Gibbs brothers from Bee Gees.
