Tucson is a city in the state of Arizona, in the United States. This city is the county seat of Pima County, and is the second-largest city in Arizona in population, following Phoenix. The University of Arizona is in Tucson. The city is located 60 miles north of the U.S. and Mexico border; it is 108 miles south east of Phoenix.

Tucson’s economic development revolves around the University of Arizona. This is the second largest employer in the city. This facility combines a museum, zoo, and botanical garden devoted to the animals and plants of the Sonoran Desert. It is 98-acres in size, and offers over two miles of walking paths. Get a taste of the old west by visiting Trail Dust Town. This outdoor shopping mall and restaurant complex was transformed from the remains of a 1950 western movie set. There are historical artifacts throughout the mall, including an Allan Herschell merry-go-round. This 1920s merry-go-round is the Fiesta del Presidio carousel is mad up of the original wooden horses and benches. This shopping mall also offers the Museum of the Horse Soldier and offers a large display of Western and military history that includes original period costumes, uniforms, weapons, and firearms. Dining options in Tucson include El Minuto Café, Cushing Street Bar & Restaurant, El Charro Café, Café Poca Cosa, and the Downtown Kitchen.

The closest major airport to Tucson, Arizona is Tucson International Airport. This airport is 9 miles from the city center. There is a network of bus routes in Tucson that serves the major metropolitan area. The Old Pueblo Trolley is a weekend heritage streetcar service that runs between the Fourth Avenue Business District and the University of Arizona.
