Richmond is a city in the province of British Columbia, Canada. It is part of the Vancouver Metropolitan Area, with neighbouring communities being Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Delta, and Strait of Georgia. Comprising most of the islands in the Fraser River delta (Lulu Island being the largest), Richmond includes in its territories Vancouver International Airport. The city ranks fourth largest in British Columbia. Richmond has the highest immigrant population in Canada (over sixty percent), half of which is made up of Chinese nationals.

Transport Information

Vancouver International Airport is located on Sea Island, a part of the city of Richmond’s territories. A SkyTrain rail line (Canada Line) connects the airport with downtown Richmond on the way to the centre of Vancouver. The city is reachable from Vancouver and other cities through a system of bridges and tunnels. The city is served by two highways: 91 and 99. The public transport is maintained by the Metro Vancouver TransLink public transit system.
