The West End is a neighborhood in Washington DC, in the United States. It is situated in the Northwest quadrant of the city, and is bordered by K Street, Rock Creek Park, New Hampshire Avenue, and 21st Street. The West End got its name because it is the westernmost part of the original master plan for the city of Washington. The West End is within a few minutes of Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, and the downtown business district of Washington DC.

The West End is home to hotel properties such as the Westin Georgetown, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Residences, the Park Hyatt, and Fairmont Hotel. There are many things to see and do on the West End. It is near historic landmarks such as Dumbarton Oaks, the Old Stone House, the Exorcist Steps, and the C&O Canal. The City Tavern Club was built in 1796 and is the oldest commercial structure in the city, and the second oldest building after the Old Stone House. Nearby the 10-acre Georgetown Waterfront Park features an interactive fountain, water steps, green space, and walking/cycling paths. Dining options in West End include Westend Bistro, Ris, Bayou, 51st State, and Landmark Restaurant. Blue Duck Tavern is a stylish but unpretentious place to enjoy a delicious meal made from locally sourced ingredients.

The nearest major airport to West End is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. Featuring international and domestic flights from Washington, D.C. the airport is located 5 miles from the neighborhood. It is easy to get around the West End by Metrobus, DC Circulator, or on foot. Some metro stations in the West End include Dupont Circle metro station, Farragut north metro station and Foggy Bottom metro station.
